Het gebed

Het gebed is zonder twijfel gekoppeld aan de Islam. Het is op veel plekken benoemd in de Qur’an en in de soennah.

“Waarlijk, het gebed is voor de gelovigen op vastgestelde tijden voorgeschreven.“

De profeet ﷺ heeft gezegd: “De hoofdzaak is de Islaam en zijn steunpilaar is het gebed.”

Ook zei hij ﷺ: “Bid zoals jullie mij hebben zien bidden”.

Wij hebben hem ﷺ niet zien bidden, maar zijn sahaba (metgezellen) wel. Dit is opgeschreven en authentiek bewaard gebleven. Het is daarom aan ons om deze kennis te vergaren, zodat wij kunnen bidden op dezelfde manier als onze geliefde profeet Mohamed ﷺ.
